About Maya
I am an A-Level student (year 12) currently studying Maths, Psychology, History and Italian. I achieved a grade 8 in my maths GCSE as well as 2 9s, 3 more 8s, 4 7s and 1 B. I have always enjoyed maths and also have experience working with children, through volunteering in a primary school once a week for 3 months. I enjoy thinking of creative ways to engage children, while they learn and so would be good with primary school aged children.

My teaching method is mainly focused on the child’s specific needs. In the first session we’d establish what the student needs most help with and every week, tackle the problems on that list, and adding more topics to the list if need be. I would also set homework based on what the student is struggling on so that I can track their progress and see areas for improvement.
