About Rhiannon
I am a recent graduate of Utah State University, receiving my bachelor's in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. In my training, I have worked as a supportive and primary educator in various elementary school classrooms and grade levels. I currently hold a teaching license in the state of Utah.
I believe that my background in psychology prepared me well to understand the learning and developmental needs of different age groups, including the importance of personalized, tailored instruction. I enjoy working one-on-one with students of all ages and skill levels with the intention of meeting them where they are and working forward from there.

My teaching style is shaped by what works best for the learner. I take the approach of identifying the obstacle and then working with the student to understand what strategies help them navigate and overcome it.
I am a believer in learning through experimentation and perseverance, so rather than lecturing about the subject, I like to let the student take the lead while offering support and guidance as needed. I want every student to learn that they can work through difficult problems.
Math isn't just a set of numbers and equations to memorize - a deep understanding is built on how and why it all works together as a method of problem solving. Having this perspective will develop their confidence and prepare them to build upon the knowledge they already have.
