About Alex
I am a mechanical engineer working at JLR who holds a Masters degree in mechanical engineering.
I am looking to provide academic assistance in maths and physics up to an A-level standard with a view that learning further ahead of the students curriculum is beneficial to their knowledge and application of the subject material under assessment conditions.

As maths and sciences are fundamentally based on logical thought processes, I prefer to give a demonstration as to how problems are solved (and the fundamental rules by which all logical operators work) and request the pupil to attempt to solve a similar exercise whilst commentating on their process throughout.
This approach encourages the student to place emphasis on their working out when solving a problem. This is an area where most students fall down as a simple calculation error would lead to losing error carried forward marks.
