About Andrej
I graduated from a grammar school. I passed "Maturita exam" (if you want to know what is it, look at the note below) with the best grades. During studying I took part in several math and science competitions. Now I am beginning to study at The University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. I love teaching and explaining stuff. I try to make my lessons fun. I adjust my lessons to suit my students and that is why I always ask them about their preferences. I love when a formerly bad student is step-by-step getting better. I started tutoring in the country where I am from in October 2020. Since then I had many students and I gained much teaching experience (with one-time students whose goal is to pass a specific test taken at school as well as with long-term students who struggle with a subject). So I decided to offer my services internationally. Note: "Maturita exam" (often translated as School leaving examination) is an examination that every student in the Slovak Republic (the country where I am from) has to pass if he wants to study at a university. Tested subjects are native language (grammar, literature, stylistics), foreign language (in my case English), and at least two (I took three) chosen subjects (in my case math, chemistry, and physics). It consists of tests (from the native language - in my case Slovak, English, and math), writing (in the native language and in English), and an oral part from all of the subjects (speaking to examiners about a randomly chosen topic from a subject in order to show your knowledge).

I teach math and science. I tutor primary and secondary school students - up to A-level / SAT / ACT. My first lesson typically starts with a talk. I ask my client many questions (what he struggles with, what is his particular goal etc.). Then I test his knowledge to find out where to start. After the introduction interview, I move to explaining stuff, solving mathematical and science problems together, and checking if my student understands a topic correctly. Sometimes I give him tasks, sometimes we do tasks he got from school.
