About Nikoloz
I am an experienced tutor and have been tutoring students, K-12, in Algebra, Pre Calculus, Trigonometry, geometry and Calculus in groups as well as individually both in classroom and online for over 7 years. I have tutored in several countries and currently work at Mathnesium in Rye, NY. I am currently a student at PACE University with major in Math.

I start my first class by conducting assessment of my student/s. This helps me in tailoring the program to the individuals. The assessment is a type of exam that allows me to determine the level of the individuals and to group them accordingly. Some students need my support in their school or university program and in such cases, we follow the specific curriculum. However, I do prepare students for SAT and ACT exams as well.
I start actual classes by review of the previous material. I ask targeted questions based on the results of the homework that I usually review before the class. If any student needs more time to comprehend the material, I dedicate more time for that. If the student is part of a larger group, I usually dedicate extra separate hour to the student so that the class is not slowed down because of one student and in fact, no one stays behind.
After review of previous material, I explain new concepts and work with students on a number of exercises. The latter helps us determine the level of understanding of the material. I request students to work on practice exercises during every class and also request homework. I believe that math requires a lot of practice.
If the group or an individual student needs help with their school or university material and homework, we follow the school curriculum and solve those first.
My classes are interactive, and I use a lot of visual material as well as teach students how to use calculators as well as online tools.
I am available throughout the day including early mornings and late evenings, as well as weekends.
