I'm the sci-fi smarty geeky science teacher that you could possibly ask for. Together with Yue, it is easy to learn everything scientific in his class.
Forget about molecules. Let's talk about cookies. Say, your mom has a secret stash of cookies and you just know it is in the house, but you just couldn't pinpoint exactly where it is. Once in a while, your mother moves her secret stash. The more stashes that your mother has, the higher the chance that you may happen to bump into one after dinner.
This irregular moving pattern of the cookies is called thermal motion, or Brownian movement.
