About Alana

Math Tutor with a Pharmacist’s Precision | Fun, Energetic, Friendly & Ready to Help You Succeed!

Hi! I’m Alana, a 24-year-old pharmacist with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a passion for making math both understandable and fun! I offer personalized, friendly, and energetic online tutoring for students from primary school through high school. Whether you’re struggling with basic concepts or preparing for exams, I’ll guide you through it in a way that’s engaging, supportive, and easy to follow.

What I Offer:
- Clear, step-by-step explanations of math concepts that actually make sense
- Real-world examples from my work as a pharmacist, showing how math applies to daily life
- A friendly, approachable environment where questions are always welcome
- Fun, interactive lessons to keep you motivated and excited to learn

Why Choose Me as Your Tutor?
At 24, I’m fresh out of university and can relate to the challenges students face. I understand how overwhelming math can feel, but I’m here to help make it less stressful. With my degree, I’ve got the knowledge to back up my teaching, but I also bring a fun, energetic approach that makes learning more engaging.
As a pharmacist, I use math every day—whether it’s calculating doses or interpreting data—which helps me bring practical, real-world examples to the table. My goal is to make math not just something you do but something you can understand and enjoy.

My Approach:
Math doesn’t have to be boring or frustrating! I’ll guide you through each topic at your own pace, focusing on building confidence and understanding along the way. Each lesson is interactive, personalized, and designed to keep you engaged, with a good mix of problem-solving, tips, and a little humor.

Who I Teach:
- Primary/Elementary school students (grades K–6)
- Middle school (grades 7–8)
- High school students (grades 9–12), including exam prep for major math subjects

I’m here to make math fun, relatable, and less stressful for students of all ages. If you're ready to build confidence, improve your grades, and enjoy learning, let’s get started!

About the lesson

I focus on helping students truly understand math—not just memorize formulas. As a pharmacist, I use math daily in real-life situations, so I bring practical insight along with clear, step-by-step explanations.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and adapted to each student’s learning pace. I break down complex concepts into simple parts and use relatable examples to make math easier to grasp. I encourage students to ask questions and build confidence as they learn.

A typical lesson includes:
1. Quick review of previous material
2. Clear explanation of new concepts
3. Guided practice solving problems together
4. Independent practice with support
5. Summary and feedback

Lessons are flexible and tailored to the student’s needs—whether it’s homework help, exam prep, or strengthening fundamentals.

What Makes Me Different:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with a strong math background (pharmacist with real-world math application)
- Clear, step-by-step teaching style
- Focus on building confidence and understanding
- Personalized lessons for every student

I offer lessons for:
- Primary (elementary) students
- Middle school / junior high
- High school (including exam preparation)

Perfect for students who need extra support, want to improve their grades, or build a strong foundation in math.
