About Althea Jhunne
I am Althea, a dedicated and patient Mathematics tutor committed to helping students build strong foundational skills before advancing to more complex topics. I focus on clear, step-by-step explanations to ensure full understanding and long-term retention of concepts.
My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and adaptable to each student’s learning pace. I use visual aids and guided questioning to make lessons more engaging and to develop critical thinking skills. I also ensure that students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
With experience tutoring Grade 6 learners and mentoring senior high school students in General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics, I am confident in handling both foundational and advanced levels of Mathematics.
My goal is to help students gain confidence, improve performance, and develop a strong understanding of Mathematics in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

My teaching approach focuses on mastering foundational concepts before progressing to advanced topics. I use visual aids for better understanding, especially for visual learners, and apply guided learning with interactive questioning to encourage critical thinking and active participation. I adjust my pace and explanations based on each student’s needs to ensure full understanding.
A typical lesson starts with a short diagnostic review, followed by structured step-by-step explanations with examples and real-life applications. Students then work on guided practice problems from basic to advanced levels, and each session ends with a short assessment and feedback.
What sets me apart is my experience in helping learners with weak foundations. I am patient, detail-oriented, and skilled in simplifying complex Math concepts. My experience tutoring Grade 6 students and mentoring senior high school students in General Math, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics allows me to handle both basic and advanced levels effectively.
