About Esse
Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Esse Panya, and I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential in Mathematics. My journey as an educator began through mentoring students in Nigeria, where I developed a deep appreciation for the positive impact that patience, encouragement, and quality teaching can have on a learner's confidence and academic success.
Since moving to the UK, I have had the opportunity to work closely with primary school pupils from Year 2 to Year 6, delivering targeted Maths interventions to help students strengthen their understanding, close learning gaps, and build confidence in their mathematical abilities. This experience has allowed me to support learners with a wide range of abilities and learning needs, adapting my teaching approach to ensure that every child can make progress.
I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to suit each learner's strengths, challenges, and pace. My lessons are engaging, supportive, and designed to make Mathematics accessible and enjoyable. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop the confidence to tackle problems independently.
For me, tutoring is about more than improving grades. It is about inspiring confidence, fostering a love of learning, and helping students realise their potential. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student overcome a challenge, gain self-belief, and achieve goals they once thought were beyond their reach.
