About Stefan
I've been tutoring maths and economics all through school and university, helping students with common entrance to university level material. From students just looking to shore up the groundwork to stay on top of the material to students gunning for their top choice school or hoping to ace an all-important test, I've helped them all. I always try and make quantitative subjects something intuitive. Too often, I find a big part of the reason students struggle with these sorts of subjects is because they're taught formulae and methods without understanding the logic that goes on beneath, making maths something highly abstract and quickly forgotten. Therefore, I always try and instil a common sense approach, where the maths flows easily from thoroughly understanding how maths is a toolbox to approach practical problems. I always try to demystify the techniques and make maths something natural. I'm enthusiastic about maths and economics and I get genuine joy from watching students gain that confidence they thought they'd never have as they tackle problems they would've previously thought impossible.
