About Lya
Hi, future tutees! This is Lya, a physic tutor……or maybe a student just like you! I deliver basic physic sessions that help you unlock the door of physics world. You can totally trust that you have the right one as I do have relative high physics proficiency with GPA at 4.0 and a semester of tutor experience. Hope to see you in the session!

Hi there! I am Lya, an energetic physic tutor as well as active student. I take over a teaching philosophy of understanding is above all and encourage interactive learning, which involves one-to-one and personalized discussion with tutees. I also put some focus on building systematic thinking ability of tutees. I am student myself, so will be able to relate to students to see what they are struggling with. I speak fluent English and Chinese as well as basic French so the language would not be a huge barrier.
During a typical session I will start with a brief intro to the content and will usually try to connect the content with what we learnt before and help tutees see the relationship between each session. Then I will dive into the concept or formulas, using historical experiments and algebraical tools to help tutee understand the derivation of them. Then, I will use several examples and models to help them have an even better understanding. In the end I will have a Q&A section with tutees where they can ask anything--from the session to their homework.
The sessions are usually deliver for high school and first year university students who are having trouble with basic classic physics at AP level.
