About Akbar

I'm currently a Medicine student at King's College London, having achieved 12 grade 9s at GCSE and AAA at A-Level in Maths and Science. I decided to start tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping people understand subjects that once felt confusing to me too, not so long ago. I remember exactly what it's like sitting GCSEs, so I try to make lessons feel more like a conversation than a lecture. I want to teach because I believe the right explanation, delivered patiently and without judgement, can completely change how a student feels about a subject. Outside of tutoring, I'm balancing my medical studies, which keeps me sharp, organised, and genuinely passionate about sharing knowledge in a way that sticks.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building genuine understanding rather than just memorising formulae. I break topics down step by step, working through exam-style questions so students feel confident tackling anything that comes up. As a Medicine student at King's College London with 12 grade 9s at GCSE and AAA at A-Level in Maths and Science, I know exactly what examiners are looking for. Being closer in age to my students, I keep sessions relaxed and approachable, adapting to each student's exam board, pace, and learning style. Whether it's filling gaps in knowledge or fine-tuning exam technique before mocks and finals, I tailor every lesson to what the student actually needs.
