About Valio
I have a particular interest in pure mathematics, especially probability, analysis, and dynamical systems, although I also have experience with statistics and mathematical physics.
Alongside my studies, I have worked as an undergraduate researcher at the University of Warwick and have been a mentor for other university students. These experiences have strengthened my interest in helping others develop their own understanding and confidence in mathematics. I enjoy the process of working through a difficult idea together and seeing it become something that feels intuitive.

Mathematics is much more interesting when you understand why something works, rather than simply memorising how to do it.
I aim to make my lessons a space where students can ask questions, explore ideas, and develop confidence in their own mathematical thinking. I like to discuss why a particular approach works, what other approaches might be possible, and how to recognise the underlying ideas in a problem. I believe this leads to a much deeper understanding and, ultimately, makes mathematics more enjoyable.
I am currently undertaking an MSc in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Oxford, having graduated with a First Class degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, graduating among the top of my cohort. I have three years of tutoring experience, working with students across a range of abilities and levels.
I offer lessons of 1 hour or 90 minutes, depending on what works best for you, and I am happy to be flexible. I teach all levels of mathematics, including GCSE, A-level, Further Mathematics, and University level mathematics.
Whether you are preparing for an exam, looking to strengthen your foundations, or simply want to develop a deeper understanding of the subject, I would be more than happy to help.
