My tutoring approach centers around personalized learning. I start by assessing the student's current understanding of the subject to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. I then tailor the lessons to meet their specific needs. I employ a mix of explanations, visual aids, examples, and interactive discussions to make concepts clear. Real-world applications help students grasp abstract ideas.
I find that lessons lasting around 60 to 90 minutes strike a good balance between covering substantial material and maintaining the student's focus. This allows for in-depth explanations, practice, and addressing any questions the student may have.
Despite having limited tutoring experience, I leverage my subject expertise and empathy to connect with my students. I create a comfortable environment where they can ask questions without hesitation. I focus on building a strong foundation and gradually progressing to more complex topics. Feedback is essential, and I encourage open communication to adapt my teaching methods according to their learning style.
