About Henry
I am a first year PhD student in economics at the University of Michigan. Previously, I worked as a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC after graduating from the College of William & Mary with a bachelors in economics and minor in math. Quantitative subjects did not initially come easy to me and I had to work hard to excel, but I think this gives me a unique perspective as a tutor since I can often relate to the difficulties of being stuck and have found intuitive ways to explain material to others.

My lesson plans are collaborative and begin with the needs of the student. I believe the best way to learn is to walk through problems by first having the student try and then give hints on how to solve the problem at hand. Math and economics problems become much easier when you have a framework to think about the problem so I also like to review concepts so students have the understanding they need.
