About Matthew
I am an engineer with 7+ years of experience in the industry. In addition to my professional experience, which includes work at well-known military contracting companies and software companies, I have a master's degree in computer programming, specifically C++ programming for video games. I am a lifelong math enthusiast, both because it brings me joy and because mathematics often appears in many complex professional tasks. It is a beautiful universal language with many applications.
I am a strong believer that everyone has the potential for greatness, and deserves a comprehensive education. There is never any shame in looking to better yourself, regardless of your age, background, or professional experience. I genuinely look forward to meeting & working with you.

I always endeavor to meet students where they are and work up from there. A strong grasp on the fundamentals is key to a lasting, comprehensive understanding of any subject. Once you're up to speed, learning should be faster and easier.
I teach students from middle school and beyond, including burgeoning young professionals looking for some additional guidance.
A typical lesson involves practice and explanation centering around a concept or set of problems. Students either bring material for us to work through (nothing classified or under NDA please) or, in absence of that, I will provide examples.
