Primary approach is to help students understand the lesson that has just been taught in school and complete their homework. Then revise the last few lessons to reinforce their understanding and improve their ability to apply by attempting more challenging questions in their school textbook. Nearer their school exams, my student will attempt other school past years' exam papers to help to revise. The answers will be explained to them. The total length of a session is between 1.5 hours to 2 hours. I have been giving tuition for more than 40 years and to more students in the last 15 years when I left my corporate life to pursue my second career in education. Today I am also lecturing in Engineering Mathematics in Republic Polytechnic. I am able to teach PRIMARY Five and six mathematics, Secondary 1 to 5, preparing students for N level and O level for both mathematics and additional mathematics, H1 ‘A’ level mathematics for JC students.
