About Adam
Throughout my career as a tutor, I have developed long lasting positive relationships with my students that have changed how students learn, and how I teach. Students I work with choose to stay with me because of the high level of support I provide. My experience both at the college and high school level set me apart from other tutors.
Outside of math, I am very passionate about music. I play my French Horn every day, and am often performing with local and national orchestras, most recently on a 3 month national tour of the Netflix Documentary Series "Our Planet" in a Live in Concert experience.

I've been a math tutor since 2016, with most of my experience working with undergraduate college students taking required math classes. My number one priority with students is reaching a level of understanding to pass their math classes and stay on track to graduate on time with a strong GPA. I boast a high student success rate, with students meeting or exceeding their grade goal.
A typical tutorial with me is heavily practice focused. Through the homework assigned, we will zone in on exactly what parts of the lesson are most crucial to understanding the topic and acing the exam.
While a large majority of my experience comes from tutoring college level math classes ranging from remedial algebra to upper level calculus, I also have had success as a high school math tutor. From 2022-2023, I have been an in school tutor for Chicago Public Schools, working with Freshman and Sophomore Algebra and Geometry students at an inner city high school. In this setting, I focus on student understanding, preparing students with adequate knowledge to have success in future classes, college, and life.
