About David
I graduated from UMass Amherst with a double degree in Physics and Computer Science with a minor in mathematics in 2016. I continued my education at UMass and earned my MS in computer science in 2019, taking time off in 2017 to work at NASA. I entered a PhD program at UT Austin 2019 and am currently on leave from that program. In my time as a graduate student, I have published two papers on robotics research presented at international conferences.

I think the best approach to teaching is to find a project that excites the student and encourage them to think through problem solving from the ground up while providing direction and assistance when needed. In this way, the student learns both the basics and the practical application of those skills while building something they can be proud of.
