Learning math is like building a pyramid, you cannot build more math skills upon a non-existing foundation. In order to understand lvl 2 math, students need to be comfortable with lvl 1. Therefore, I start my lessons always with a quick assessment to determine where students are struggling in math and to better plan lessons so students can get the most out of each session.
