About Catherine
I fell in love with tutoring as a high school student volunteer. I continued tutoring into college helping students in remedial math, algebra, and other courses. My approach toward teaching is to provide a concrete basis through visual aid, simple explanations, and demonstration of techniques. What works for one student does not work for all students, and I have developed a variety of methods for helping students reach that Ah Ha! moment of comprehension.

Rates are negotiable for k-12 students in difficult economic situations. Proof of situation such as an award letter for some form of public assistance program or similar documentation is required for a reduced rate. There is no shame in poverty, and education can be a powerful tool to escaping it.
