I have known Derek since 1977 both as a close friend and as a guitarist in several bands in which we've played together down the years. He is a great musician with the calm, patient approach to teaching required to help his students get the best from their playing. He has been teaching guitar for many years both professionally and semi-professionally and I would strongly recommended him to parents and students, young or old.
