About Sawik
I'm Satwik, a software engineer based in London with an MSc in Software Engineering and Management from Kingston University and a BTech in Computer Science. I tutor maths and computer science up to A-level, and GCSE physics.
I finished my own exams recently enough to remember what actually makes a topic click, and what it feels like when it doesn't. That shapes how I teach. I don't lecture at students or work through a textbook chapter by chapter. I find the specific gap causing the problem, fix that, and then build outward. Most students who say they are bad at maths are missing one or two foundations from two years earlier, and everything after it feels impossible as a result.
I also come at this from actually building things. I write software professionally, so I can show students where the algebra or the algorithm they are learning gets used, which makes the abstract parts easier to hold on to.
Patient, direct, and honest about progress. If something isn't working I'll say so and change the approach rather than repeating it louder.

Maths (GCSE and A-level)
MSc Software Engineering graduate with a Computer Science degree, tutoring maths up to A-level. My degree was built on the applied side of maths: algebra, statistics, probability and discrete maths used to solve real problems rather than pass exams. I teach the same way. I focus on why a method works before drilling it, because students who only memorise procedures fall apart on unfamiliar questions. Comfortable with GCSE Foundation and Higher, and A-level Pure and Statistics. I work through past papers with students and target the specific topics where marks are being lost.
Physics (GCSE)
I tutor GCSE Physics, with a Computer Science and Software Engineering background. Physics at this level is largely applied maths, and most students who struggle with it are actually struggling with rearranging equations, units and problem setup rather than the physics itself. That is where I focus. I cover forces, energy, waves, electricity and the required practicals, and I work through past paper questions to build exam technique alongside understanding.
Computer Science (GCSE, A-level, intro university)
MSc in Software Engineering and a BTech in Computer Science, currently working as a software engineer. I tutor GCSE and A-level Computer Science and first-year university programming in Python, Java and JavaScript. I have built and shipped real systems, including full-stack applications and an LLM inference server, so I can connect the syllabus to how software actually works in practice. I cover algorithms, data structures, databases, networking and the programming project, and I am comfortable helping with NEA coursework without doing it for the student.
