About Daniel
I'm an adjunct professor looking for work during the Spring and Summer Semester. I've taught mathematics at all levels. 7th grade, High School, Community Colleges, College-level, University-level. I've taught to all types of learners; teenage, early 20's, adult business professionals, military personnel. In addition to mathematics, I've also taught English as a second language and military training (I'm a veteran).
I'm pretty adept at all levels of mathematics including the first years of graduate school. I can teach anything from Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Applied Calculus, Single and multi-variable Calculus, Differential Equations, Analysis, Abstract Algebra, General Topology, Graduate level Analysis, Modern Algebra, Group Theory, Algebraic Number Theory, Algebraic Topology, Set Theory, Recursion Theory. If I don't know it and it's math, I know where to look.

I believe in a crawl/walk/run method in the classroom. When I begin teaching, the
student must follow along (because I will call and ask questions). I give clear explanations of the subject, building on past knowledge from previous classes. Then I do sample problems which should be written down for themselves. I then set 5 minutes aside for the students to attempt to do a problem or two on their own, before moving on to the next topic. I cannot emphasize this enough, I believe math is a language and learning comes from using and practicing the language.
