About James
I am an undergraduate studying Pure Maths at UCL and am looking to find a couple of people to tutor and help them through their studies.
I have tutored younger students at my secondary school for six years and in the Sixth Form, I ran a Maths Society helping out Year 7 students that were struggling maths. I also worked with another school in my borough tutoring students in lower year on an online webcam programme, this was very helpful as neither of us had to leave the comfort of our homes.
My approach to tutoring is to ask the student if they have anything they are currently studying and no not fully understand. Next, I will go through some examples with the student before setting them some questions to do by themselves to see if they grasp the topic before moving onto another one.
