I am currently a Senior at Virginia Tech. I was a Mechanical Engineering major (with a focus in Robotics and Mechatronics) for a few years, but realized my passions lied in teaching, math, and Philosophy. I am getting my undergraduate degree in Philosophy and getting up for a 1-year Masters in Secondary Mathematics Education, which I plan to have in 2.5 years from now. With a Philosophy background, I find myself focusing on Logic and key concepts that really are the root of the lesson, and not just being able to do the problem now and forget it in a week. I aim to get the student to really understand the concepts and not just fake their way through the math.

I am a student myself working towards a Masters in Secondary (6-12) Mathematics Education (expected to get in 3 years). I am 21 and a big geek! I have a unique ability to explain concepts in ways you may not have thought of and how to remember them as well. I work well in working through problems and going over your note from class. We'd go over key concepts from the class, and then go through examples and practice problems.
