Super tutor

Joakim is one of our best Guitar tutors. High-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Joakim

I’m a passionate guitar teacher with a Degree in Music and over a decade of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and skill levels since 2012. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I love helping others experience the confidence and joy that comes from learning an instrument.

I specialize in using the G4 Guitar Method, which gives students a clear, structured path so they always know what to practice and how they are improving. Seeing students go from complete beginners to confident players is the most rewarding part of what I do.

My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and proud of their progress every step of the way.

About the lesson

I teach guitar using the G4 Guitar Method, a structured and progressive program designed to make learning clear, motivating, and fun. Lessons are gamified so students stay engaged, and each session builds step by step on the last, helping students see real improvement every single week.

I focus on building strong foundations in technique, rhythm, and musical understanding while still learning songs students enjoy. This balance keeps students excited while developing real skills that last.

Lessons are ideal for beginners through to intermediate players, both kids and adults. With a Degree in Music and teaching since 2012, I know how to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and confidence levels, making sure students feel supported, challenged, and proud of their progress.

Joakim's response
Cai has been doing a great job in lessons so far. He is a focused student with a great attitude, and I can already tell he has been practicing between lessons, which is really helping his progress. After just 3 lessons, he is progressing very well and building confidence each week. Going forward, the main thing is to keep up the regular practice and consistency, as that will continue to accelerate his improvement. Keep up the great work, Cai!

Heath is already an intermediate guitarist with solid foundations in place. He shows strong focus and determination in each lesson, and it’s clear he’s motivated to push himself to the next level. With this mindset, he’s set up for great progress.

Joakim's response
Anne was absolutely lovely to deal with. She genuinely tried her best to encourage her granddaughter to give guitar lessons a proper go and clearly cares deeply about supporting her interests and development. Communication was kind, thoughtful and respectful throughout the entire process. Even though the timing wasn’t quite right, I truly appreciated her openness and positive attitude. I would be more than happy to work with Anne and her granddaughter in the future.

I’ve known Joakim through guitar lessons with him and his team, and the experience has been outstanding. He’s a very patient, professional and engaging teacher who makes everything simple and easy to follow. The lessons are well-structured (with a great balance of technique, theory and song practice), and you genuinely see progress week by week, whether you’re a complete beginner, an adult learner, or a child starting out. What I love most is how Joakim tailors the pace to the student, keeps it fun and motivating, and builds confidence (the Zoom concerts are a brilliant touch). I would absolutely recommend Joakim to anyone on Superprof looking for a supportive teacher and real results.

Joakim has been an absolutely wonderful guitar teacher for my 9-year-old son. He is incredibly friendly, patient, and supportive, and has a real gift for working with kids. My son looks forward to every lesson and has learned so much in such a short time.

What really stands out is how engaging and encouraging the lessons are. The concert idea is fantastic, it gives the kids a chance to perform, build confidence, and feel proud of their progress.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend Joakim to any parent looking for a positive, motivating, and skilled music teacher.
