About Jim
I have tutored students in mathematics from 3rd grade through College level Calculus 2 as well as test prep (GRE, SAT math, NY Regents Math). I have tutored Physics (high school, college, and university levels), High School Chemistry, College Biology, and College Astronomy. I have tutored Java and C/C++ programming. I taught courses in College Algebra and Advanced Engineering Math. Finally, I have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have worked as a Software Engineer for decades. I'm available to tutor online at any time or locally in person.

I first determine the goals of the student and focus on meeting those goals. I use materials familiar to the student and recommend additional materials as needed. I maximize student interaction, determine problem areas, and help the student resolve those areas while enjoying the process. I have tutor grade 3 through college in STEM.
