About Prabhath
I want my pupils to share my love of learning, to harness their inherent curiosity and create a rapport that makes the act of learning a joy that is taken with them throughout their lives. Of course you may want a tutor to help with UCAS, the Common App, 11+, 13+, extended essays, IAs, SATs, or in a variety of subjects, but what is more valuable than the confidence gained in seeing what you are truly capable of? I aim to nurture curiosity, above all else. Since 2009, I have tutored 11+, 13+, English, Maths, Science, History and Economics for over 1500 hours, gaining exceptional results from my students. I am a firm believer teaching pupils the meta-skills they need to teach themselves, providing academic game plans, and making sure that pupils share my passion for my subjects. I am always available on email for contact, and make sure that my students can articulate their understanding every step of the way. I provide as personalised a service possible, engaging in pupils' interests and tailoring to pupils' learning styles. Me, personally? I am a comedian (stand-up and improv) that just got back from a tour of the U.S., I love music (check out my soundcloud! (concealed information) playing mainly funk and jazz guitar these days and was for a long time based in Berlin and Geneva but am a born and bred Londoner. If you like what you see, get in contact! Prabhath was very professional in his approach to tutoring my 17 year daughter doing her IB diploma. He was a great mentor and gave her support and great exam technique advice as well as reviewing topics and concepts she felt she was weak at. His positive approach and personalisation of each thought out lesson plan was great.
Since Prabath has been working with my 15 year old son the improvement in his motivation and confidence have been remarkable to witness. Prabath is providing tuition for both Maths and English at GCSE level. He is able to explain complex concepts effectively and gives constructive feedback. My daughter Mia struggles with maths more than anything else. We took Prabhath on as her tutor at least 18 months ago and Mia has come on leaps and bounds with his support. Mia enjoys her lessons and he is a lovely chap.
