About Emily
I am 22 and live in Oxfordshire with my dog. Since graduating I have been looking into completing a master's degree in either mathematics or thermo-fluid mechanics.
I want to be a tutor because when I was at school I initially struggled with maths and I had a tutor outside of school that really helped me with my confidence in the subject and inspired me to pursue it in higher education. I would like to try and help other students find their confidence in this subject.

My technique is to be guided by the student; I am happy to focus on the areas they feel they need the most improvement. I would observe their ability and step in when they are stuck, instead of completing the problem for them. Happy to explain something multiple times in different ways, to ensure complete understanding.
Minimum lesson length = 30mins
Maximum lesson length = 1 hour
I have tutored several friends and family members and also been on other online tutoring sites.
I have a 2:1 bachelors with honours degree in Mechanical engineering, with a special interest in engineering mathematics.
My lessons would be for anyone completing a GCSE maths qualification. I would also consider AS level students.
