About Ali
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Having studied at UCL and the University of Manchester, I understand the importance of discipline, effective learning techniques, and building confidence in education.
Over the past 5 years, I have worked with students from different age groups and academic abilities, both online and in person. I pride myself on being patient, supportive, and adaptable, ensuring each student feels comfortable and motivated throughout lessons. I also have experience supporting students with learning difficulties and understand the importance of tailoring lessons to suit different learning styles.
My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students develop confidence, independence, and a stronger understanding of their subjects. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and reach their full potential.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong understanding, confidence, and exam technique rather than simply memorising content. I break difficult topics down into simple, understandable steps and adapt lessons depending on the student’s pace and ability level.
I teach KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students in subjects including Maths, Physics, Geography, English, Triple Science, History, and Religious Education. Lessons can be taught online or in person and typically last 1–3 hours depending on the student’s preference and needs.
I hold an MSc in Engineering with Finance from UCL and a BEng in Civil Engineering from University of Manchester, both highly respected universities in the UK. My academic background has strengthened my analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my teaching style.
I have over 5 years of tutoring experience working with students of different ages and abilities, including students with learning difficulties and additional educational needs. I aim to create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their subjects.
My lessons are ideal for students preparing for SATs, GCSEs, A-Levels, school entrance exams, resits, or those simply wanting to improve their understanding and grades.
