I am a University of Leeds Medical Student and experienced A-Level Tutor specialising in teaching A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I also offer mentorship for those who are applying to medical school. I offer private 1-to-1 online tutoring in the following areas: A-Level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Medical School Application Mentoring. I teach via an online interactive whiteboard and through live exam question walkthroughs.
My teaching methodology consists of 'supervision style' learning where I encourage deep critical thinking and reasoning through discussion of concepts which equips students with the necessary tools to tackle challenging exam questions. With over 200+ hours of analysing past mark schemes and examiners' reports, a central component of my teaching comprises of highlighting common pitfalls and only teaching material that is relevant to the specification and addresses all parts of the mark scheme.
I focus heavily on building rapport and establishing a safe, non-judgemental space where students feel comfortable asking questions. Having navigated the intensity of A-Levels not too long ago myself, I deeply understand the pressure students face and aim to support them using my firsthand experience and expertise.
