Each of my 60/90/120 minute lessons begins by setting clear goals to ensure we make the most of our time together.
1. Targeted Review
We start with a review of previous material to warm up and address any lingering difficulties. This gives the student a solid foundation to build on and helps identify any key areas that need additional focus.
2. Consolidation and Preparation
In this section, we dive into new content the student has recently encountered in class. By consolidating their understanding and reinforcing new concepts, we ensure they are well-prepared for upcoming assessments.
3. Preview
To wrap up, we briefly preview upcoming topics from the course. This gives the student an edge by familiarising them with new material ahead of time, boosting their confidence and readiness for what’s next.
Throughout the lesson, I use techniques like spaced repetition and active recall to enhance retention and deepen understanding. My approach helps students study smarter, ensuring that every session moves them closer to their academic goals.
